CERT Issues High Risk Alert for Apple Users in India: iPhone, iPad, Mac

 

If you are an iPhone or iOS user, then we have some important news that you must pay attention to. Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), which falls under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, issued a warning for all iOS users who are using the Apple devices with OS version lower than 18.6. CERT has issued a security warning for iPad OS version before 17.9.9 and 18.6 osiya to 15.6 MacOS Sonoma version prior to 14.7.7 MacOS Ventura prior to 13.7.7 watchOS version below 11.6 and tvOS version lower than 18.6.

In its security Bulletin CERT declared that there are several security risks and multiple vulnerabilities have been detected in Apple products, which have come up due to type confusion, use-after-free errors, out-of-bounds memory access, buffer overflows, race conditions, integer overflows, etc.

CERT comes under the Ministry of Information Technology of the Government of India. It has asked all the iOS users to update to the latest version of iOS because if you do not update to the latest version any hacker or attacker might get access to your confidential phone data device data with the help of a specially crafted request a hacker might be able to bypass secured restriction execute the arbitrary code and can also get access to your device confidential information and data.

If you do not follow the instructions and update to the latest iOS version 18.6 you may end up losing your important data. You might be wondering why Apple has not officially released any notification about this one. Let us tell you that Apple normally discloses unlimited only after the fixes have been released.
