And yeah no one would love to let others see their private chats with their closed ones. Telegram also offers a fingerprint lock feature to its users but to use it you need to manually activate it from the settings section. In this article, we are going to share some simple steps to turn on Fingerprint Lock on the Telegram app.

 

How to Turn On Fingerprint Lock on Telegram: Step by Step

So, in this section, we will share how to activate fingerprint lock on Telegram if you are using an android phone.

Step 1: We hope that you have the Telegram app installed on your phone. Just tap and open the app.

 

Step 2: Now on the main page ( where all your chats are appearing), you will see 3 lines in the top left area. Tap on it.

 

Step 3: Out of all the options visible, tap on ‘Settings’

 

Step 4: You will notice ‘Privacy and Security’ options in the list. Tap on that option.

 

Step 5: Look for a passcode lock on the privacy and security page. Tap on it.

 

Step 6: Toggle on it to activate it.

 

Step 7: It will ask you to enter a passcode in the next step.

Tip: Enter a strong password for the app. Don’t forget to remember it.

 

Step 8: After setting your password check the ‘Unlock with Fingerprint‘ option.

Step 9: Now return back to the main chat page and tap on the lock sign visible in the top right corner of the page.

When you tap on this app the app will be locked and next time you try to open it, it will ask for the passcode that you set. Congo, the passcode has been set on your Telegram.
