Code verify is basically an extension for browsers like Firefox, Microsoft, Edge, and Google Chrome. The extension can be downloaded for free from matter open source

According to the company’s blog, “Code Verify expands on the concept of subresource integrity, a security feature that lets web browsers verify that the resources they fetch haven’t been manipulated. Subresource integrity applies only to single files, but Code Verify checks the resources on the entire webpage. To do this at scale, and to enhance trust in the process, Code Verify partners with Cloudflare to act as a trusted third party.”

The extension will automatically configure and run when you turn on your WhatsApp. The application creates a hash ( a code) that is matched with the one created by WhatsApp Web. Now, if both the code matches a notification will display that shows verified. Then, you can proceed using Whatsapp web.
