Google Maps makes our travelling experience smoother. It offers in-depth navigation and details about the places around. You can set a destination and reach there in a given time period. Google Maps also shows eateries, ATMs, and malls around.

You can check how congested the route is and then can plan your journey. Google has come up with another awesome feature. This feature will share the details of the toll amount with you. You can now learn about the cost you will pay at the toll. Well, it will only give an estimate of the cost that will be incurred. Isn’t that cool?

Google Maps Toll Feature

Though this feature came in the month of April it will be implemented now. Currently, this feature will be available in countries like India, Japan Indonesia, and the USA. Google Maps will also give you the option to avoid toll roads. It will remove all the paths having toll plazas.

This feature is now available on both the iOS and the Android OS platforms. It takes the data from the toll authorities and provides you with the details.

This feature is available in different countries, the toll will be different in different countries. If you are someone who has a travel job then this is a cool feature for you.

How to Use the Feature

  • Simply tap on 3 dots in the top right corner of the directions
  • Now you have to choose the ‘Route options’
  • ‘Route options’ currently has ‘Avoid motorways’, ‘Avoid tolls’, and ‘Avoid ferries’
  • After you get an update, you will notice another option ‘See toll pass prices’
  • Select ‘Avoid tolls’ if you wish to avoid toll routes completely
  • You can save the settings for future use by using the Remember
