How to update status in WhatsApp Web on PC
Install this extension in Chrome
Now go to web.whatsapp.com and open your WhatsApp account by scanning the QR code.
Click on the WA Web Plus icon
It will open up a few options. Check or uncheck them according to your needs
Now, go to the green colour icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
When you click on that icon it will pop up a dialog box to add text or image status
You can add a text status or can also add an image as status using the add a file button.
